Reads is a privately owned, unique luxury hotel situated at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains but just 15 minutes from the city of Palma. Surrounded by 20,000m2 of stunning landscaped gardens, Reads has its own vineyard and tranquillity.
The hotel has 23 rooms and a range of facilities normally only found in much larger hotels. These include Bacchus Restaurant with its Michelin star and wonderfully frescoed walls, Bistro 33, Browns Bar, 200m2 outdoor pool and the stunning 650m2 Vespasian Spa offering treatments and products by ESPA and Ytsara. And then there are the Reads Experiences: the chef's table, cooking classes, and Master Chef for the day. And for those who want more action there are 24 Giant carbon fibre road bikes, Trekking or Mountain bikes on which to explore the island. Reads offers as much or as little activity as you want.
The hotel was awarded Best Country Hotel in Europe 2003 and Best Hotel Restaurant in Europe 2006 both by Conde Nast/Johansen.

| Read's is located at the foot of the Tramuntana Mountains which run along the west coast of the Island from the northern tip to the south coast.
Read’s is located on the edges of Santa Maria, a small town between to Palma and Inca. It is connected to Son Sant Joan International Airport by motorway and to Palma both by motorway and railway. Driving distance to the International Airport of Palma de Mallorca is about 20 minutes and to the city center of Palma about 25 minutes.

All rooms are an excellent size and all enjoy views to the mountains, the gardens and the surrounding countryside. Of the 23 rooms there are 14 with full size private terraces and 1 with three balconies.
No two rooms are alike and all are individually styled and furnished to the very highest standard and have heating, air conditioning and Bang & Olufsen LCD televisions.
All bathrooms are again an excellent size and, in addition to the standard services, all have a double wash basins, full size baths, showers, bidets as well as hairdryer, bathrobe and slippers.
Some have a Jacuzzi and 11 have separate walk in showers. The toiletries are by Moulton Brown of London. Read’s does not have mini bars in the rooms but we offer a full 24hour room service.

The á la carte restaurant, awarded it’s first Michelin star in 2002 under the auspices of Head Chef Marc Fosh, and our Bistro33 which offers a daily changing menu. More recently it has been listed as the Restaurant of the Year in 2005 German Marcellinos Restaurant Guide.
In 2006 the restaurant was awarded "Most Excellent Hotel Restaurant in Europe" by Condè Nast Johansens and chosen in the same year as one of “10 Best Hotel Restaurants in Spain” by the major Spanish newspaper the “Diario del Mundo.”
The restaurant also received praise from Andrew Lloyd Webber in The Telegraph, alongside other articles in The Daily Express & Daily Mail amongst others.
