The historical "La Hacienda del Buen Suceso" dates back to 1572 and is the oldest Hacienda on Gran Canary and amongst all of the Canary Islands. It is situated in the middle of a country farm estate, 15 minutes from the capital of Las Palmas, in Arucas. Arucas was in its heyday even as early as the 16th century, as home town of the Canary Island’s rum (arehucas), which was also extracted here. At the end of the 19th century a turn of events came about with the trade of bananas. The colonial style of this heyday is still present at the hotel.
The beautiful covered walkway out onto the garden reminds us somewhat of an old cloister. Here, corner seating has been integrated, which invites the guests to let their thoughts wander. From here guests can also enjoy the large garden, where you can stroll at pleasure, and the green terraces, from which there are stunning views and from where you can enjoy the climate of the Canaries. In the evening the Hotel Rural "La Hacienda del Buen Suceso", the covered walkway and the garden are all wonderfully lit up and reminisce of the splendid past of this elegant Gran Canary Hotel.

Each of the 18 rooms of the hotel have been decorated with the charm and original details of its first construction: sloping wood ceilings, attics, canopy beds ... providing a comfortable atmosphere to the room, complemented by the special light and soft climate of the Canary Islands. The hotel has a total of 18 rooms, 13 of which are double and 5 Junior Suites.

Golf courses nearby: Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas (approx. 25 km), El Cortijo Golf Club (approx. 30 km). You reach the courses in the south of the island (Maspalomas Golf, Meloneras Golf and Salobre Golf) in approx. 45 minutes by car.

The restaurant is located in the ancient tool shed of the farm, from which it takes its name with a terrace. Here we offer a careful and traditional cuisine so that you can enjoy an intimate and extremely peaceful environment provided by the plantation of banana trees surrounding it.
In the salon Tres Palmas guests of the Hotel can let the evenings draw to a close under chandeliers beside the fireplace.
