Location
Nestling on the brow of a hill overlooking Funchal, with breathtaking views of the city, the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding mountains, Quinta das Vistas Palace Gardens is surrounded by 12.000 m² of gardens and centuries-old trees. Funchal's historic centre is easy to reach by car (10 min) or by walk (20 min). The hotel provides a courtesy minibus service that runs several times a day to the town centre.

The lush sub-tropical park surrounding the hotel is landscaped into various gardens, including a water garden and the Chef's herb garden. There is also a 9-hole mini-golf course, a reconstructed Levada (water channel) and two small lakes.

Decorated in limed oak and wilton carpets, each of the 63 rooms, 3 junior suites, 4 deluxe suites and 1 presidential suite, offer a private bathroom, separate toilet, balcony, mini-bar, direct-dial telephone, cable TV and individually controlled air-conditioning and safe deposit box.
Golf
Palheiro Golf Course: (18 holes Par 71, 6,616 yds) 15 minutes away from "Quinta das Vistas". Opened in 1993 and situated on a coastal ridge overlooking Funchal, this Cabell Robinson designed course follows the natural valleys and ridges and hills of the surrounding countryside.
Santo da Serra: (27 holes Par 72, 6,600yds). Situated 25 minutes away from Quinta das Vistas. Opened in 1991 and featuring magnificent sea and mountain views. This Robert Trent Jones designed course is spectacular. While most of the 27 holes feature generous sweeping fairways, there are plenty of hazards to trap the unwary, including water, bunkers and the occasional ravine.

The Spa and Fitness complex includes a heated indoor swimming pool leading to a hanging outdoor pool, a second heated outdoor pool, whirpool, Turkish and Vichy baths, sauna, sensation shower, two treatment rooms, a relaxation room and fitness room.
