Le Meridien Penina Golf & Resort is unique in the Algarve, where guests can step out of the hotel and start to play golf on its three courses. The 18-hole Championship Course, designed by Sir Henry Cotton, is considered his masterpiece and it is indeed a remarkable achievement. The golf hotel and golf club are unique when it comes to outstanding views, a calm and tranquil setting, and shows nature at its best.

Location

The golf hotel is located on the south coast of Portugal, midway between the traditional fishing port of Portimão and the historic town of Lagos. The nearest town, with shops, local entertainment and a casino, is just four kilometres from the resort at Portimão. The beach is four kilometres away from the hotel (with complimentary transfers from June to the end of September).

At the golf hotel there is the challenging 18-hole Sir Henry Cotton Championship Course, as well as the Academy Course for beginners and a new 9-hole Resort Course. There is also an extensive driving range and huge putting green.

Hair and beauty services are available, as well as various types of massage and mixed sauna. For a workout the hotel offers a fully equipped gym.

Catering

A choice of five restaurants serve Portuguese, Italian and international cuisine, and the four bars offer a choice of refreshments, snacks and cocktails. Children's menus, barbecues, theme evenings and formal dinners are all available.
