Established in 1991, the Molino del Pero Golf Club
is a technical course. Despite the wide fairways,
the first 9 holes, which are par 35, cover 2,610
meters and are situated 320 m above sea level,
have small, tricky greens that make the course
great fun for both experts and beginners. The
second 9 holes are flatter but equally
challenging.
The views which can be enjoyed walking along the
"Molino del Pero" course are unique and
spectacular.
Thanks to the particularly favourable
weather conditions, cool and breezy during summer
and rarely snowy during winter, it is possible to
play all year round, disturbed only by the
occasional fox or deer.
The slope of the first holes, that start sharp from
the Savena Valley, have often been cited in
international golf magazines as "The Stairway to
Heaven".
The clubhouse, built in the old mill, is
decorated with enormous oak beams and has a
large
fireplace that creates a warm and comfortable
atmosphere.
