The elegant and historical La Hacienda del Buen Suceso dates back to 1572 and is the oldest Hacienda on Gran Canary and amongst all of the Canary Islands. It is situated in the middle of a country farm estate, 15 minutes from the capital of Las Palmas, in Arucas. Arucas was in its heyday even as early as the 16th century, as home town of the Canary Island’s rum (arehucas), which was also extracted here. At the end of the 19th century a turn of events came about with the trade of bananas. The colonial style of this heyday is still present at the Hotel Rural La Hacienda del Buen Suceso. The current owners have lovingly restored the noble estate and, with it, stylishly maintained the romantic and historic character.
The beautiful covered walkway out onto the garden reminds us somewhat of an old cloister. Here, corner seating has been integrated, which invites the guests to let their thoughts wander. From here guests can also enjoy the large garden, where you can stroll at pleasure, and the green terraces, from which there are stunning views and from where you can enjoy the climate of the Canaries.
