The seaside resort Warnemünde is about 14 km away from Heiligendamm and can be easily reached by car within 15 minutes.
Wismar is about 50 km away from Heiligendamm and is one of the most beautiful port cities in Mecklenburg. One can reach Wismar within 40 minutes by following the highway.

Im Polar Bear Children´s Club children´s dreams become true. The holiday resort’s ‘Eisbären-Kinderclub’ is in a villa with a sea view. Three floors with different worlds of experience surrounded by a garden with swings and a sandpit on the premises are available to young hotel guests. Both younger and older children will be looked after by trained kindergarten teachers and educators.
For babies there is a crawling room.
The Club is open daily between 10 and 12 a.m. and 3 and 5.30 p.m. Additional times may be agreed on individually, upon request.

African furniture and murals featuring wild animals will trigger the desire for adventure, and in the Room of Dreams with its spacious area to lie under a starry sky, children and their parents can relax while reading, or being read to, respectively.
Rough-and-ready cowboys and fearless Indians between six and twelve years of age will find their appropriate environment on the first floor at the ‘Western City’, complete with numerous log huts for playing. The Wild West comes alive among the Grand Opera House with a choice of costumes, the Saloon, and Sheriff’s Office. From here, the children race down a tubular slide into the garden.
The eldest Polar Bears will find their realm in the attic of the villa: Infinite space awaits them in the highly imaginative ‘space shuttle’. PlayStations with the latest video games, trendy Captain Kirk’s chairs, and a cinema with a screen that is 3 metres wide along with relaxing platforms that you can lie on will make teenagers’ hearts beat faster. Bookworms will be welcome to use the library under the roof that offers a selection of the most popular children’s books and comfortable reading chairs.

With its luxurious, hand-painted silk wall coverings and chandeliers, as well as the magnificent terrace with its columns, the restaurant offers an exquisite ambience. The elegant Kurhaus Restaurant offers a creative and light regional cuisine with fresh local products also from the Gut Vorder Bollhagen.
